Sleep in day for both Beth and myself. I up 5:30: shower, shave and dress. Help her get up and she gets going in bath. I set up for breakfast and set up hers in my bath. I eat and read Sunday paper in dining room. She does her hair; then she moves to bed room. I help her get her pants on and re-hook her up. Both in kitchen - talk and eat. She into office and start working on MDD stuff. I work at my computer. She gets a call from sister Shannon. I into kitchen to prepare lunch. Call her into dining room and we eat. I down for nap with girls in bed room. Sheri Priess over to help Beth with banquet seating. Others over earlier with things regarding MDD.
I up and get dressed. Into kitchen and feed girls. Leave them to eat with Beth and Sheri. I into office. Call James in Florida and we talk. Sheri leaves so I into talk with Beth. Both into office,l then I out to start BBQ. Put on steak and chicken-kabob. Set table, Beth out to dining room. Bring in food and we eat. After ice cream dessert we clean up. She to office; I finish up. I in and get her unhooked and ready for shower. She showers while I start getting ready. Get her into bed and hook her up. I finish in bath then write here. Later ~

Write to guy who sent letter about Gunsmoke props and costumes. Beth home for a few. we talk then take off for nail appointment. She goes on head while I stop to mail a QVC return for her. Get our pedicures. She stays for her manicure while I pick up tacos and head for home. Put tacos on top of BBQ to stay warm. Into house and check e-mail; shred some cheese. Beth home within an hour and we have our tacos. I do ice cream for dessert. I down for nap with girls. She reads paper, etc. I up and bring in mail. Open mail. Feed girls. Sit and talk to Beth. Into office and call Dave Cass and we talk for awhile. Beth into office to work on MDD stuff. Eventually it's time for dinner so I make salad for me and frozen pasta for her. Start to watch Huckabee. Beth and I have ice cream. Into bedroom and start getting her ready. She into bathroom. I start getting ready. I write here. Hook her up after she's in bed. Later ~

Open mail for Beth. Feed girls. Beth and I talk. I run a package for her employers to the post office store. Home and start shucking corn. Talk with Beth while I start BBQ. Turn on O'Reilly with Lara as host. Voting in senate on Boehner bill. Cook the corn and we eat - great! Clean up and both into office. Get her ready for bed then into bed and hooked up. We eat and talk. Her nurse will be here at 1:00 p.m. - I down for nap with girls. I'm awakened by her screams of pain when the nurse changed her dressing. Finally up close to three. I work beside her; then to dining room and watch some O'Reilly - start dinner. We eat and talk. She washes her hair. I get the trash out. Help her get pants off which is difficult because of the vacuum's tubing. She gets ready for bed; then joins me in office. We look at article on a ship that has nothing but condos for sale. Then it's down for nap with girls - and Beth, who is beside me upon awakening. I order pizza. Both work at computer; then we drive to Pappa Dan's to pick up dinner. Home and we eat - girls get crusts. Start getting Beth ready for shower. She showers. Both get ready for bed. Later ~

Beth stays home in bed while I go to meeting. She has the vac on her ankle and didn't sleep all night.
Stop for some produce on way home from meeting. Beth is up and moving around when I get there. Help get her dressed and moving even more. I check e-mail and news sites with girls and chips. Talk with Beth in kitchen. Courtney received the script. Fix a little lunch for Beth and me; then I down for nap until 1:30. Up and dress. Brenda meets us here and we all to Eisenhower for another appointment with Dr. Shultz. Home and Brenda leaves after some talk around table. Get some things together. She to bedroom and rests. I work at computer and start dinner - salads. Get her into dining room and we eat. Start getting her ready for bed as It can be a lengthy process. I help her take shower with thing on ankle. Wait until nurse gets here and she attaches vac to Beth's wound. Lotta pain involved. Nurse leaves. Beth moves to couch in living room. Still in pain. I keep busy with ice, etc. She gets and makes phone calls. She'll see Shultz tomorrow afternoon. I start dinner - salad for her; veggie lasagna for me. we eat. Then get her into bedroom to get her undressed and into nightie. Into bed and hook her up. I work on getting ready for bed. Write here. Later ~

I usually drive home a back way that includes crossing Hwy 74 (Monterey). I come home on Hwy 111 today after dropping script for Courtney at PDPO. Home and check e-mail and news sites with girls and chips. Watch some Rush on dittocam. Beth home and we talk. I fix lunch and we eat early. I snooze on couch waiting for her doctor appointment. Drive to Eisenhower for her meet with Dr. Shultz. Work on trying to get suction vacuum. then home. Watch the Betty Ford Funeral for two hours. Work in office. Start BBQ and we cook steak for me and fish for her. I make salads and we eat. Both get ready for bed and we watch two episodes of All in the Family. She bed with ice on foot. Home from meeting to check e-mail and news sites. Drive to Sam's to meet Brenda and Beth to get Hall food for today's Independence Day Party. We have pizza and hot dog. Home while they drop food at Hall. Beth home and we rest before the event. To Hall at 1:00. Finish setting up. They work while I take pictures. Good time had by all. Home and soon joined by Beth.
