Stop at Office Depot on way home from meeting to get some copying done for Beth. Stop by Nader's to say so long. Home and check e-mail and news sites with girls and no snack. Drive over to Beth's place of work to pick up her car and take to car wash. Talk to Jimmy George. Back - pick up my car and gas up for trip tomorrow. Brenda's staying here with girls. Home and start pulling things together. Lunch with TV - a Gene Autry which I didn't have time to even get into. Down for nap with girls. Up before 2:00. Bring in mail. Pull more things for trip together. Load my shirts in car. More finding things we need to take. Beth home early and continue gathering stuff for trip. Beth works in office while I fix dinner. Beth gets phone call so I start eating. She finally joins me and we finish at about the same time. Desert - strawberries. We keep packing and hopefully loading what we can. Later ~

Home from meeting; meds for Crystal, cookie for Misty. I check e-mail with peanuts and girls. Take big car to car wash. Home. Work at computer; answer some e-mails. Move into living room early. Watch Ghost Town Renegades, with Lash LaRue and Al "Fuzzy" St. John. A few calls from Beth Ross calls. Make lunch and eat while viewing movie. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Clean up side yard; sweep tile floors. Into office and work at computer. Charge scooter. Beth home and we bring in her stuff. We talk at table. She makes dinner and we eat. She cleans up and we have strawberries and Cool Whip. Put out trash. Back to office and work alongside Beth. Later ~

Sleep in day. Beth up and off to Hall. I up 5:30 - shower, dress, paper and breakfast. Trim beard. Work at computer until Beth home with Brenda. While I go and gas up her car, Beth shows Brenda around our house. They get our luggage out. Brenda leaves and I put out pill boxes for Beth. Back to computer. To kitchen and fix early lunch for Beth and me. We eat. To office Beth takes and makes phone calls. I down for nap with girls. Up and feed girls. Work in office. Beth off to MDD meeting; plus a Hall steering committee meeting at same time. I watch TV: finish up Gunpoint with Audie Murphy. Beth home and we have salad dinner. Both move to office. Later ~

Grocery shopping after meeting. Home and unload and put stuff away. Check e-mail and news sites. Beth is at Edie's where they have a water leak. She calls plumber. Beth home and we talk. She off to drop booklet for her friends at postal store; I follow and meet her at Nail place. After nails, across street to Yellow Basket and fish taco lunch. She heads back to Edie's house; I home. Down for nap. Up and Beth is home. She's brought in mail. Feed girls. Join her in office where we go through some MDD stuff and get books together for convention. Stop for dinner - she makes main dish; I do salad. Eat and talk. Back to office and finish up MDD stuff. To living room and watch Steel Magnolias. Later ~

Home from meeting; Brenda's there cleaning. I check e-mail with girls - no snack. To Palm Desert to get haircut from Sherry - do banking deposits for Beth. Pick up burgers on way home. Watch Gene Autry in Blue Canadian Skies, with Pat Buttram and Gail Davis while eating. Brenda leaves. Talked to Beth during movie. Down for nap with girls. Up and check e-mail. Out and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open the few pieces of mail we get since Beth has started on-line banking. Work at computer. Clean up side yard. Beth home and we start right in on making dinner. Finally we sit down to eat and talk. Strawberries and angel food cake for dessert. Both into office and work. Later ~

Stop by for gas and talk to Nader; then home and check e-mail and news sites with chip and girls. Call Jimmy George in Mississippi and we talk for awhile. Dive into some work on the computer and spend a few hours. Talk to Beth. Guy called about scooter rental for San Antonio. I give him all info over phone and pay. There were no scooters available three days ago - another one we turned over to our Higher Power. TV: Watch Gunpoint, with Audie Murphy, Denver Pyle, and Morgan Woodward, while I eat lunch. Talk to Beth again. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail;plus QVC package for her. Dani by with MDD box for Beth. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth and scan magazines. To office and work on computer. Clean up side yard. Sweep tiles inside. Back to computer and work some more. Beth home and help her with her stuff. She cook and we eat and talk. She clean up dishes. Both to office and work on our own projects. Later ~

On to Kohl's where I look for pants advertised in their weekly ad. They don't have what I wanted; so down to Sam's Club and do a little buying for us. Pick up Sam's pizza and a drink then home. Eat while I watch Bob Steele and Syd Saylor in The Navajo Kid. Talk to Beth several times during show. Pick up girls at groomer and bring them home. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth - three pieces. Into office and work for awhile.

Today I was put on a waiting list in case they get more scooters in. Drive to Beth's place of employment where I help her get Rush Limbaugh 24/7 on her little computer. On to trash place and drop Beth's old monitor. Stop to pick up a burger but it's too early. Home and fix my own lunch. Watch Cowboy Serenadewith Gene Autry. Smiley Burnette, and Faye McKenzie, while I eat. Beth calls. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail - not much. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth (one bill). Clean up side yard. Sweep tiles in house. Work in office.

Home from meeting and check e-mail and news sites with 1/2 portion of peanuts and full portion of girls. Jump back and forth around Internet for awhile. At 9:00 a.m. off to Beth's place of employment to try to take pics of new hummingbird babies. Louis, Beth and I gather around while I shoot pics with big camera. Lens not right for getting the little ones in nest; but momma on nest came out just fine. On to market to get dog biscuits; then to pharmacy to pick up a poll box for Beth. By Nader's station on way home and talk to him. Home and download photos. Sen two to Beth. Make a light lunch and eat in front of TV while watching Saskatchewan with Alan Ladd and Shelly Winters. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth. Flip through a magazine. Clean up side yard. Clean tile floors inside. Work in office. E-mail to Bill Foulk with info. Beth home and we unload her car. Sit at table with soft drinks and water and talk. She make us salads. Down for dinner together. After we move into office. She makes some phone calls; I write. Grocery shopping after meeting. Home and unload then put away food. One cookie snack - starting a eat half of what you usually eat diet. Beth home and we both work in office until 11:00; then I into kitchen and fix lunch. She in and we eat and talk. I down for nap with girls. She off shopping for something. I up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Beth opens her own mail. Watching Pebble Beach Open Golf for the rest of afternoon and evening. Beth fixes sinner and we eat. She cleans up dishes an pans. I to office and work. Home from meeting; turn on pool water; check e-mail with cheese, peanuts and girls. Brenda and bug man Paul show up at same time - both start in on their jobs. I watch TV while Brenda cleans the office; when she's done there I move to office and my computer. Brenda cleans and I work in office. Order Beth Rush 24/7 and activate it for her. Eventually move into living room and turn on TV: Watch Goldtown Ghost Riders with Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, and Gail Davis. Down for noon nap with girls. Mick the pool guy here to start filtering system going. Up and bring in mail; feed girls; Open mail for Beth. Spend some time in office working. Beth home and we unload her car. Sit and talk over sodas. We start fixing dinner - taco ingredients with chips. I to office afterward. She work in kitchen. She joins me in office. Later ~

Home from meeting and check e-mail and news sites with cheese, chips, and girls. Pool guy (Johhny Leak Finder) here and he starts on replacing our skimmer. It's been in place for forty years so I guess it's possible it's worn out. I work at computer for awhile. Then at a quarter to ten I drive to Beth's place of employment and drop off some mission donations someone gave us at meeting. Hi to my wife. On to drop some other things at Southwest Thrift. To Best Buy and pick up mew monitor for Beth's computer. Pick up at McDonald's and home. Have lunch while watching Gene Autry in Rancho Grande. Start in unpackaging the monitor. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth. Back to office and set up new monitor for Beth. I'll be damned! It works! Usually I screw up somewhere with the directions.

Make a small lunch and eat while viewing. call Beth to let her know I'm taking my nap early so I'm up with new pool guy gets here. Down for nap with girls. Up 1:15. Check e-mail and write here.

Beth home from meeting right after me and we remove her bandages from yesterday. All that's left is little strips over her stitches. She off to work and I down to computer. Send the pages I have written to Jeff and he e-mails me back. Work on the script for awhile. More contact with Billy Foulk - saw photo of his mother and brothers on his Facebook page. Then it's to TV where I watch Call of the Canyon with Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, and Ruth Terry. Make some lunch and eat while viewing. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Only 100 degrees today - cool for June. Inside, feed girls; then open mail for Beth. Back to office and work on script a little. Beth home. Help her in with her stuff. We talk over sodas then I start dinner. We eat and chat. Clean up and both to office. Received then wrote an e-mail to Billy Foulk. Later ~

Follow Beth to Eisenhower for her same-day surgery. She checks in while I wait in lobby. I'm allowed to visit with her for a short while before she's taken in. She is having some skin cancers removed from her hand and elbow. I leave her there and run up to West Dermatology, where I have my stitches removed from the skin cancer surgery I had 10-days ago. Window washers and Brenda leave our house when I arrive - Brenda was watching girls; Tom and Steve washed windows and solar panels. I check some e-mail. Bill Foulk responded through his Facebook page. I fix some lunch and eat while watching a part of The Gambler Returns: Luck of the Draw; It was the show they were shooting when Dave, Frank, and I drove out to Simi Vally to present Rio Diablo to Kenny Rogers' Producer back in 1991. Then it's down for nap. Up and check e-mail and write here.

Fun to look back and remember when we were putting it all together. Clean up side yard. To office and search for file for novel. Finally find a hard copy of original - it will suit my purpose. Into living room and turn on TV: Watch an old color Eddie Dean PRC western while I eat lunch. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth. Clean up side yard; sweep tile floors. Work in office. Beth home. I start dinner while she makes phone calls, We eat and talk; then she's off to meet Joel at PD Leather Plus. I work in office. Pick up McDonald's on way home; then watch season's final episode of Justified, recorded last Tuesday night. That means it's all over for series TV new episodes until September. Sweep tile floor. Work on a few things in office. Put on water to boil. Back to work then Beth's home. We start cooking ravioli almost immediately. We eat and talk while she goes through her mail. Straight to Imaging place after meeting for bi-annual sonogram. Home and check e-mail and news sites with cheese, pretzels and girls. Good news e-mail from a publisher friend who is showing interest in a project. Exchange e-mails with him throughout the day. Beth gets UPS; call her and she comes by and picks it up. At 10:30 to living room to watch TV: Gene Autry in Stardust on the Sage, with Smiley Burnette. Make lunch and eat while viewing. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls. Open mail for Beth. Send some e-mails. Clean up side yard. Into house and try to get Crystal to eat. Beth home early. We talk; then I make salads and we eat. To office where I stay while Brenda and Brandy (her daughter) here to talk with Beth. They leave and Beth joins me in office. Get ready and to bed. Beth follows me. Later ~

After meeting Beth and I to Dori's house to meet Mary Ellen (Dori's sister) where we picked up a lot of Dori's stuff so Beth could take them to the mission later. To Beth's place of employment and meet Brenda. They transfer Dori's stuff to big van. They will then shop at Sam's Club for mission then drop everything at the mission in Indio. I on home. Make two hot dogs and watch Ramrod with Joel McCrea and Don Defore. Down for nap with girls. Up a few hours later and Beth is home. We talk; I bring in mail; feed girls. We read mail - post card from Neil Summers. He's moved to Santa Fe, NM. She reads paper while I putz in office. I call in pizza order. Off to pick up pizza. Home and we eat. Then we watch pay on demand: Tenderness with Russell Crowe. Both to office to finish up our day then we: Later ~

Leave meeting early and drive to lab for blood draw. Home and check e-mail and news sites with cheese, pretzels and girls. Work on computer for awhile. Call Carolyn Friend about MDD Podium Book. Call West dermatology to find out they called last night just to remind me of tomorrow. Talk to Beth. Call Joel. Take off for Indio around 10:45. Arrive at Leather Plus and spend a few minutes with Joel and Susan. On to Chinese Place to meet Round Table. Harvey brings a new prospect. Eat and talk. I leave 2:15 - home. Quick snack then down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Take out trash recycle bin. Sort mail for Beth. Read Best of Rush on computer. Clean up side yard. Sweep floors. Put out trash then remember it's a day late because of holiday and bring in back in. Beth home. Help her unload. We talk over soft drinks. Fix salads and we eat. Ice Cream for dessert. I get ready for bed. Work in office. I bed and she in - Later ~

Straight home from meeting and check e-mail and news sites with cheese, pretzels and girls. Work a little at computer then take off for Costco just before 10:00. Arrive at Costco and shop for dog treats; dog Glucosamine biscuits; pills for her. Pick up McDonalds across the street then home. Set up for lunch and Beth by to drop off things. When she's off, I continue my lunch while watching last Tuesday's Justified. Down for my nap with girls. Up early and work at computer. No mail yet. Feed girls. Shuck the corn Beth brought home this morning. Set up pot to boil water. Clean up side yard. Sweep floors. More at computer. Beth home and we start water to boil. We talk. Put corn in when we have a boil. Set table and we have corn-on-the-cob meal. Beth to Hall to meet Brenda. I watch some of The African Queen. She back and I start getting ready for bed.
