Home after meeting and pick up stuff I bought for Beth yesterday and return it to Long's Drug Store. Then to key shop in Palm Desert and make two more keys for the hall. Home and to computer. Putz around with my "Thank you... manuscript until lunch. Eat and TV - old Buck Jones Western I've seen a dozen times. Beth calls, then it's down for a nap. Up and feed girls. Back to computer and continue on with "Thank you..." She home and we eat. Both to office and work (I write here), and after she showers we'll watch "Without a Trace" from last night. Later ~

Slept in today while she went to hall. Lazy day. Putz on computer - delete a few videos which take up a lot of space on disc. Lunch with her. Nap. Feed girls and she goes to meeting at hall. When she gets home, I suspect we'll have dinner; watch a recorded show; then hit the hay. Later ~

Today was the annual "Open Call" amateur talent show at the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert. This has been a yearly event for us since its inception quite a few years ago. A bunch of us from the morning meeting go together, sit in the same row, and have a really good time watching those talented folks who perform every year. We pool our money and Harry Baddely goes down to the box office and buys the tickets way in advance which guarantees us very good seats. I think we had around 14 or 15 people yesterday. Afterwards, Beth and I picked up a pizza and brought it home. TV after that - a CSI Vegas - a really good, tongue in cheek, murder mystery surrounding the death of a has-been boxer. Beth and I have never laughed as hard at any of our favorites. Later ~

Home after meeting - paper and snack. Check e-mails. Continue to fix web site. To lunch at new burger joint with Harry Baddely, George Widman, Tom Snow, Norman Foster, and other George from Palm Desert Greens. Stop by Beth's place of work and pick up something and take it home. Down for nap. Up and feed girls. Order books for upcoming signings. Waiting for her to get home. We'll watch another "Lost" tonight. Later ~

Chiropractor after meeting - gives me new exercises. Home, paper and snack. Computer and check e-mail. Beth calls, she wants to take me shopping. Drive over to her place of work and we drive to Indio. Shop Kohls, COSTCO, and Sam's Club. I get over 10 new shirts. She buys a new pair of pants. Hotdogs at COSTCO, then back to pick up my car. Home and down for nap. Up and feed girls. Then I start pulling pins and hanging shirts. She home and I fix dinner - salads. Now we'll probably watch "Lost" which we recorded last night. Later ~

Home after meeting and read paper with snack. Check e-mail. Run DVD of "The Departed" - over just before noon. Fix lunch and Gene Autry in "Red River Valley". Nap; then up to feed girls. Putz at computer in p.m. Make some calls. Send a few e-mails. She'll be home soon. Later ~

To meeting and home. Snack with paper. Computer and check e-mails. Putz on computer most of morning; Beth here with van to pick something up. Dogs crazy about her. Lunch and TV - Russell Hayden, Dub Taylor Western. Nap. Jeff Sneller calls re: possible re-make or sequel to "Kingdom of the Spiders". Glenda from Dr. Stone's office calls about sonogram results - I'm OK. Feed girls and back to computer. Decide to change web site to have scenes from books pages instead of Q and A pages. Bob Ingram by with stuff for Beth. She'll be home shortly so ... Later ~

Up and to meeting. After home, paper and snack. Computer all morning, some Rush. Lunch with Buck Jones on Western Channel. Down for nap. Up and feed girls. Putz on computer in afternoon. She home, we eat, then she off to Indio Jail. She home early, no jail. She TV (Dancing with the Stars), I bed with her and read. Later ~

A lazy day. She started work at Hall in a.m. while I slept in. TV and talk. I napped and she cleaned. We spend late afternoon with her shopping on El Paseo. Dinner, TV and bed

Grocery shopping after meeting; then home and unpack - put away. To Sam's Club and shop for her Fellowship Hall supplies. Home and check e-mail. Paper and snack. She home from hair color, and I make snack for her. I computer and nap. She sweeps and mops. Up and feed girls. Beth and I to Hall and unload her supplies. Home and eat. Now we're going to watch a movie on demand on TV. Later ~

Home after meeting for moment then pick up Beth at mechanic's where she dropped her employer's van and take her back to work. Home for snack and paper, then to Cornerstone for sonogram of chest and back bumps. To get more keys made. Home then to lunch with Tom Snow and Harry Baddely. Home, last of Bob Steele western then down for nap. Up and not feel well (maybe what I ate). Feed girls, then pick up Beth and take her to pick up the van. I home and drink a soda, feel better. Take a return to Mervyn's for Beth. Home and to computer. Not much writing today, but a few complements on my latest essay. She'll be home soon. Later ~

Chiropractor appointment after meeting; then to lock shop and have hall keys made for Brian. Home and paper and snack. Computer, check e-mails, etc. To Dr. Stone at 11:00 so he can check me out. After meeting I take her car and gas up, then home. Drop off girls at vet for teeth cleaning then home. Snack and paper. Talk her, then pick up girls and home. Lunch and TV. Gene Autry Western. Nap. Haircut from Sherry Mesa after meeting today. Home - paper and snack, then to computer and correct latest essay. Send send it to someone for review. Do some more research for Dawn of eagles then re-write a scene. Exercise per chiropractor. Lunch and TV Western - I've seen it so back to computer, call Beth, then nap. Up and feed girls. Back to computer and instead of writing, I read articles on yesterday's shooting spree. What a bummer. Sweep up dog hair, then write here. She'll be home soon, and after dinner we'll more than likely watch a recorded CSI Miami from last night, then hit the sack. Later ~

To Chiropractor after morning meeting for my second session with him, and he found the problem may be in my buttocks and leg as well as my back. He gave me several new exercises to do and I want home. Paper and snack. Start in on old project, "Dawn of Eagles," my prequel to "Shadows of Eagles." Watched TV coverage of Virginia Tech shooting. Work until lunch then eat and TV. Down for nap. Up and feed girls. Back to work on DOE. Beth had lunch with her friend Sally. She should be home soon. Later ~

We both slept in today. Up at 5:30 - Breakfast and paper. She sweeps and I computer. To the annual Greek festival at 11:00 and have some Greek food for lunch. Run into Enrique there every year - take some pics. Home quick then to Sam's so she can return stuff from yesterday's barbecue. Home and she does my pills and I feed girls. I down for nap. Meet Chad the pilot with Beth after meeting. Then I grocery shop at Rancho Mirage Albertsons, then home. She home and eat lunch, I do same after she leaved for Edie's to say goodbye as they're leaving for Nebraska in morning. I down for quick nap. Up feed girls early. She home, then we off to first pick up cakes, then on to ABC recovery Center for annual barbecue. Sit with Bill and Sunny White and take and sell tickets. Dropped her at work after meeting and home. No paper, but I do have some popcorn. Work for a while on latest project. Over to her work to pick her up - Ross Salomone calls me on the way; he's in Chicago. Take her to get tacos for lunch then to pick up her car. I go on home. Nap. Up and feed girls. A little more on new project, then to Palm Desert for Chiropractor appointment. He works on my back. I've tried the medical way and nothing worked including exercise sand shots into the spine, That's why I've decided to go this route. Home with take out fish and chips; we eat dinner. TV - recording of this week's "Lost." Bed and sort (new) exercise, then sleep (on my back) - Later ~

After the meeting, paper, and snack, I continue with my project. Beth leaves employer's van at garage to fix window, so I pick her up and take her back to work. I home and continue writing, Air Conditioner man by to service unit and leaves. Ross and I exchange old photos thru e-mail. He's in Chicago in the snow. Lunch and no TV. Back to computer then down for nap. Up and feed girls. Back to writing. Pick her up at work and bring her home (she left her car to get it lubed in morning when she picked up the van). Home after meeting to paper and snack. Ron next door by with gravel for side yard. Help him spread it around. To computer and check e-mail, then continue with my newest project which is another behind the scenes essay. Stop for lunch and TV - Western movie on Western Channel is one I've already seen eighteen times, so down for nap. Up and feed girls. Back to project. Call from Larry Floyd about celebrity contacts for Melody Grove's article. Start cooking Beth's lunch and dinner. Back to office and continue writing, and write here. Later ~

Up and off to morning meeting. Harry and Annie are back at meeting. No Tom Snow, no George Widman, so Harry and I cover, I secretary and he leader. Stop and buy flat in a can for our next door neighbor's wheelbarrow. Read paper and snack. Check e-mails and work a little on present project. Lite lunch, then to Dr. appointment. I an in great shape, said Dr. Stone. Don't have to come back again until July 2nd. Home, call her, feed girls early, and quick nap. Up and work some more on project. She's on her way home. Later ~

Lazy day - Up at 5:30, she up after I'm showered and dressed. Breakfast and paper. She sweeps and mops. I computer and putz. Call Jim Farrell and ask him if he'd like for us to take him to a meeting; "no" as he just can't get up that early anymore. Lunch together. She watches Masters while I to office and work on computer. Saturday grocery shopping after meeting then home and put it all away. Pick up Beth at her employer's home and we to airport to pick up Tracker. Back and load me up with ironing and we both home. Unload, then we have lunch. Computer, then I nap while she watches the Masters on TV. Up and feed girls. We talk for a while then order pizza. Call Harry and Annie who are back from their Mexico cruise. I out to get her gas and pick up pizza. Home and eat. Get ready for her then watch a recorded show. Later ~

Home after meeting and check e-mail. To credit union then bank. Home and work on project until time to leave. By Sav-on to pick up my meds, then on to meet Tom Snow and George Widman at a Vegan cafe for lunch. Home and ice cream. Bed and nap with girls. Up and feed girls. Back to computer and work, plus e-mail. Sew button on an old pair of shorts. Talk to brother Bob, and his wife Eva. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had the mass removed. She's now undergoing chemotherapy. Talk to Beth. Write here. Later ~

To meeting, leave early. Home and paper and snack. Computer -work on essay. Quick nap. Meet my Round Table Group for lunch at Robbie T's in Indio. Nice discussion as usual. Home. Call her. After morning meeting I drop off a check to Sheri Priess at work. Talk to Ross for minute. Then to Office Depot to have some tickets made for Maad Dog Daze and the ABC Barbecue. Home and paper and snack, then computer. E-mail from Melody Groves about Red Ryder article. I call Bob Hoy and Neil Summers about contacting actors who worked on those RR shows. Finally e-mail Bill Sasser with same question. Lunch with Gene, Dick Jones, and Gail Davis. Nap. Up and feed girls. To Office Depot and pick up tickets. Home to answer from Sasser - he'll have info in several days. E-mail Melody with results. Sweep up dog hair and start boiling water for pasta. She home and we eat. She makes phone calls while I write here. Later ~

Up and off to meeting. After to post office and send the first three chapters of my latest manuscript to a new publisher. To Sam's to shop; pick up a hot-dog for lunch later. Home and work a little on a new essay. Then I make up tickets for Maad Dog Daze and the ABC Barbecue for Beth. Lunch (hot-dog) and TV - nothing new so back to office and work until I down for nap. Up and feed girls. Back to office and send query letter to editor of a Western Magazine. Receive an e-mail from Melody Groves about an event that will take place in Yuciapa next month. I e-mail the guy in charge and I'm invited to come and sign and sell my books. She home and we eat. She off to ABC Club for alumni meeting. I putz here at computer until she gets back. Later ~

To early blood draw so no meeting. Home and eat and meds. Paper. Talk to her. Start work on chapter summary for Whiskey Tears - need this to submit. Stop for lunch and a Three Mesquiteers movie with John Wayne. Nsp with girls. Up and feed girls. Back to work on summary. Pool guy here. Finish summary. Put away dishes and prepare table for dinner. Slept in until 6:00 am. Up and get ready. She's right behind me. We off to ABC Monthly breakfast. Eat with Bill and Sunny, Joel, Robin and Ron. No Bruce there. After we to shop for her at Smart and Final; then by her employers and home. I nap on couch; she cleans. Up and TV Women's Golf. She does my meds and I pop popcorn.
