Pool drained all night. Work begins.

Drop Peter at COD after meeting. Home and check e-mail; Beth home, too - taking care of Judy business with Bruce. Jack-hammering the plaster from pool - noisy. Fix some early lunch for both of us and we eat. She off to work; while I down for nap with girls. Despite jack-hammering, I get to sleep. Up, and all is quiet. Feed the girls. Open the mail for Beth. Work on computer for awhile. I take pictures of work on pool. Talk to Tom Snow. Beth hpmr early and we talk. She calls her neice, Kelly. I into office; then I start preparing dinner. We eat and talk. She talks to her brother. Then we watch CSI: Miami - she walks out as there is torture involved in plot. E-mail from guy in La Quinta. Later ~

Drop off Peter at COD after meeting; then home. Check e-mail and news sites. The pool repair guys were supposed to be here at 8:30 but haven't arrived yet. Call Gary 9:30. Work in office while listening to Rush. To bank and make a deposit for Beth. Beth calls about pool repair guys - they still haven't shown up. Call Gary again. Watch recording of Kings from last night while I eat lunch. Call Beth then Gary. Down early for nap with girls. Up and feed the girls. Beth calls about pool repair guys who are still not here. She'll call Gary. I drive to Eisenhower for a blood draw. Home and check e-mail. Reply to Agent in La Quinta; then forward something to a friend. Beth calls: Judy, her brother's wife and our sister-in-law, passed away. Watch some O'Reilly. Beth home and we talk. Fix dinner and we eat. Beth calls pool guy; he calls back and she rips him a new one. We to office for awhile. Pool guy here and starts emptying the pool. We office. Later ~

Sleep in day. Beth up and to Hall. I finally up at 6:00. Shower and dress; breakfast with paper. Trim beard. Beth home and dives into her work. Then she's off to an H&I luncheon and meeting at Hall. I watch a Don "Red" Barry western I had recorded: Days of Old Cheyenne. Lunch while viewing. Down for early nap. Up at 1:00. Check e-mail. Beth home and we take off to take Tracker to airport for pilot. Stop for some ice cream. Home and she orders something online; then takes off for Maad Dog Daze meeting. I call James Jenkins in Florida and we talk about this year's Festival of the West that I missed. Watch Hannity on TV. Beth home for last fifteen minutes. Fix dinner and we eat and talk. Both to office. She calls her brother for info on Judy, his wife. Later ~

Grocery shopping after meeting; then home, unload and put away. Check e-mail and news sites. Work some time at computer. Beth home and we talk. Both work - she cleans house. I fix lunch and we eat. She off to hair appointment. I down for nap with girls. Up and feed girls. Beth is home. Jimmy George had called so I call him back and we talk. Gary the pool guy here and we discuss re-tiling out poo. Decided that they start on Monday. E-mails with Jeff Sneller regarding Alabama Hills Westerns. Work in office. In to fix dinner, We eat watching O'Reilly rerun (Huckabee not on). Talk after dinner. Talked to Bruce, Beth's brother. His wife, Judy, is very sick in hospital. Later ~

Jimmy George calls. Talk Beth. Stop by Beth's place of employment and drop off check on way to lunch with Norman Foster, David Bradshaw, Tom Snow, and George Widman, at Mexican place on Country Club. Home after and call blood place and make an appointment for Monday, Down for nap with girls. Up and clean up and dress. Work at computer. Guys by to give estimate on pool repair, Clean up side yard; sweep floors. Call Tom Snow; and work at computer again.

Nice conversation and he'll call back this afternoon. Watch Gene Autry movie on Western Channel - Oh, Susanna. Then watch a Buster Crabbe, Fuzzy St. John PRC western. Eat lunch while viewing. Down for nap with girls. Up and feed girls; open mail for Beth. Clean up side yard and start sweeping. Jimmy George calls again and we talk for dam near an hour. Talk Beth - she was trying to get hold of me. Finish sweeping. Beth hoome and I fix quick dinner, She off to H&I meeting at Hall. I write her for a minute. Watch some TV. Beth home and she washes her hair. Then we watch recording of NCIS from last night. Later ~

Call Glenda and she asks me to drop by Stone's office. I do and he says swelling of the fet might be normal with a clot. Home and fix lunch. Eat while watching recording of Kings from last night. Talk to Beth. Down for nap with girls. Up and feed girls. Open mail. Call Tom Snow. Clean up side yard and sweep floors. Make DVD copies of The Honkers for fans. Work in office. Some O'Reilly. Beth home and we talk. Finish making two copies of The Honkers. Fix dinner and we eat. She to office after dinner and I follow when I'm done in kitchen. Later ~

Drop Dallas at home then grocery shopping after meeting (Beth got stuck doing shopping last week when I was hospitalized). Home and put stuff away. Quick e-mail check; then off to Sam's where I meet Eric and we shop for the Hall. I called James Jenkins at the Festival of the West in Arizona while waiting for Eric. At Sam's, I get some stuff for us and for Beth's employer while Eric shops for Hall. Have lunch with Eric at Sam's. Drive home and unload our stuff. Check e-mail and news sites. Down for nap with girls. Up and feed girls. Take tags off some shorts I bought at Sam's; work on my pill boxes, removing some and adding some. Let girls out back. Beth home and we talk for awhile. Both to office to get some work done. Huckabee at 5:00 - fix dinner and we eat while viewing. She to work to run the dog. I work at compouter. We plan on watching a DVD or a recorded TV show. Later ~

The week previous to March 9th, I noticed some swelling in my right foot. Called my kidney doctor (Stone) and he said to get a blood test right away. Swelling can be a symptom of something gone wrong with my transplant. He got results by Friday and knew it wasn't kidney related. He set me up for a sonogram on my right leg the following Tuesday; and during the process a small blood clot was found in my upper leg. I entered the hospital (Eisenhower) almost immediately and was put on a Heparin drip IV. Spent my time watching TV and talking on phone, with intermittent visits from my great and loving wife, on a day by day basis, while the Heparin was being ingested. Somewhere during that period I began taking Coumadin. The idea is to thin my blood enough that the clot will dissolve itself. I was released on Monday. Back to my full routine on Tuesday. While I was out, my computer came down with a virus and it a couple of days to fix it. Now we're back in action and up to full strength. Good to be back!

The Honkers has run twice on The Western Channel in the past two days; this morning I recorded it and got a pretty good reproduction. Grocery Shopping after meeting; then home and put everything away. Check e-mail and news sites with animal cookies and girls. To living-room and watch recording I made this morning of The Honkers. Always fun to watch as it brings back so many memories - from working on the script to the first public showing. Beth home from her Saturday chores and we talk at table while I eat (she'd eaten earlier). I down for nap while she out to shop. Up and she's fed girls. I clean up side yard. To office and work some. Talk to Tom Snow. Beth works in office. We watch Huckabee while I make dinner; then we eat. Shortly after dinner we sit down to watch CSI: Vegas and Without a Trace recordings we made last week. Off to Sam's Club and meet Eric at 10:00 to shop for Hall. He has hot dog; then we to nearby Mobile-T shop and he learns how to connect his bluetooth. The Yellow Basket is next door to phone place and we meet Tom Snow there. Eric takes supplies to Hall, while we are met by Norman Foster then we have lunch at YB. Home and have ice cream dessert. Talk Beth. Down for nap with girls. Up and bring in mail. Feed girls and I open mail. Bob bring by some ironing. Clean up side yard and sweep floors. Watch some O'Reilly. Start to cook dinner. Beth home and we talk; then eat. After that we watch episode of Lost we recorded on Wednesday. Later ~

Stop to see Joel Peters; then on to my monthly Conservative Round Table lunch. Home and bring in mail; feed girls; take pills; call Beth; and down for nap with girls. Up and open mail. Try call Tom Snow. Try call Bob about ironing. Clean up side yard. Sweep floors. Start to watch O'Reilley and Beth home early. She has a lemonade and is off to dinner with Tina's daughter, Melissa. Palm Desert Greek Festival

Sleep in day. Beth up and to Hall. I up before 6:00; shower and dress; breakfast and paper; sweep floors. Beth home and she mops floors. She has Maad Dog Daze meeting for an hour with members of web site committee. After that, we drive into Palm Desert and go to annual Palm Desert Greek Church Festival. Tons of people there. We eat and take some food home. Ice cream on way home and eat when we get there. I down for nap with girls. Beth reads paper. Up and feed girls. I to office and catch up on news and things. Beth joins me for awhile. We have dinner - she food from today; I have a bowl of cereal. She washes her hair. We watch a recording of NCIS from last week. Later ~
