Beth with red shirt in Hilo Hattie's

Beth walking down Hilo main drag

Up very early - another time change. Breakfast in Lido Cafe with Poppy and Ruth who were tourists like us. Arrive in Hilo, Hawaii. Disembark and grab shuttle bus to Hilo Hattie's - we didn't make any tour plans for Hilo so we bussed and walked around. Steve got a red shirt to wear on Support the Troops Fridays. Beth bought a sweater. Back to ship and catch shuttle to downtown Hilo. Lunch at Reuben's Mexican restaurant; then shopping. Sat in a park by the beach and watched the homeless hippies sitting around doing nothing. Took a local "free" bus back to terminal with a bunch of weirdos. Beth bout a red flower to wear over her left ear. AA Meeting in our cabin with Al, Rich. Cheryl and Diane at 5:00 p.m. Dinner in our room. Steve had London Broil; Beth had Mahi Mahi. Putz around then to bed early for big day tomorrow. Watched ending of Pearl Harbor on TV as we leave Hilo at nightfall.
